Image Peter Jackson continues to recruit a team for his production project, Mortal Machines , the first in a planned series of films based on the works of Philip Reeve. Meanwhile, Michelle Monaghan (Source, The Path) is in talks to join Alfred Molina (Chocolate) on an indie drama titled Saint Judy .

The film will focus on the thirty-year-old single mother Judy Wood , who moved to Los Angeles and devoted herself to immigration law. One of her cases was the case of an Afghan immigrant who was persecuted for opening a girls' school in her home country. Wood has fought years in and out of court, which has resulted in changes to the law on granting asylum to women. Thus, she not only saved the life of her client, but also the lives of thousands of other refugee women who faced deportation and imminent death in their homeland.

The film will be directed by Sean Hanish (In the Beginning) and is set to begin shooting May 10.
