Robert Langdon conquers TV
He solved puzzles concerning the most valuable treasures of mankind, and dealt with the most dangerous terrorists. What's Robert Langdon's next mission going to be? The answer is simple - the conquest of television spaces. Last summer, NBC acquired the film rights to Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. The network did not delay the development of the project and has already ordered a pilot episode of the series, called "Langdon".As previously reported, the NBC drama will be a prequel to the film franchise, which includes three films - "The Da Vinci Code", "Angels and Demons" and "Inferno". The main role in the trilogy was played by Tom Hanks, but the focus of the series will be young Robert Langdon, who is still getting involved in adventures. This time, he will have to unravel the mystery surrounding the abduction of his mentor and uncover another conspiracy on a global scale. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beatty have been selected as scriptwriters and executive producers for the series Scream and Crossing. Also among the producers were writer Dan Brown and director Ron Howard, who directed all three feature films about Robert Langdon.  The only actor who played Langdon is Tom Hanks, and now the creators of the series will have to find a worthy replacement for him. It is noteworthy that "Langdon" is the sixth pilot in the drama genre commissioned by NBC, so Robert has yet to solve the main riddle: how to bypass the competitors and secure a place in the channel's on-air grid.
