The Da Vinci Code: The Beginning

Image To the great regret for fans of Dan Brown's work, Professor Langdon, performed by the brilliant Tom Hanks, never became his man in Hollywood. The rather successful adaptation of The Da Vinci Code was followed by the much more controversial Angels and Demons, and then Sony's conspiracy film series seems to have finally finished off critical arrows at Inferno. Today it became known that the most famous hero of Brown's works will still be able to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the public. NBC is preparing a TV series about Robert Langdon's early years.

The terrestrial network acquired the rights to film the third novel in the book series about the adventures of a Harvard professor - The Lost Symbol. The original story is set after the events of The Da Vinci Code. In this regard, NBC plans to change Langdon's age and make the series a kind of prequel to the Sony franchise.

The preliminary synopsis makes it clear that the authors of the novelty will keep the original plot of the Lost Symbol. Young Langdon still has to uncover the mystery of the mysterious disappearance of his friend and mentor - the head of the Smithsonian Institution and part-time Mason of the 33rd degree, Peter Solomon.

Tentatively titled Langdon, the writing team for the series will be led by Emmy nominee Daniel Ceron (Dexter, Blacklisted). Oscar-winning Ron Howard, who has shot all three full-length films about the adventures of a professor of religious symbology, will be producing the novelty.
