Flintstones for adults

Image Recently, Hollywood has been living by the "Not a day without a remake" rule, and the producers decided it was time to send the audience back to Bedrock, where the funny Flintstones family and their friends Rubble live. Warner Bros. Studio together with the company Elizabeth Banks intends to reshoot the cult animated series "The Flintstones". The format of the project will remain animated, but the target audience of the show will be completely different. The creators of the new Flintstones are adult-oriented.

The original series aired on ABC from 1960 to 1966. The Flintstones subsequently developed into a media franchise that today includes television shows, feature films, video games and comics.

The Flintstones transported viewers to the conditions of the Stone Age, reminiscent of America in the 50s. It is not yet clear what the modern remake will be like and what the creators of the project mean by "adult show". A few years ago, DC revived comics about Fred Flintstone and his family, and graphic novelist Mark Russell added postmodern notes to the lives of the main characters in the form of acute social and political issues. So it is Russell's creation that could form the basis of the remake.

In 2011, Seth McFarlane tried to return the Flintstones to the small screens, but then the bosses of the FOX channel did not appreciate his idea and the project remained unrealized.
