BBC launches witch hunt

Image The BBC is looking forward to bringing viewers back to the world of Agatha Christie's detectives. In the middle of last month, we reported that the leader of the British television industry has teamed up with Agatha Christie Limited, Mammoth Screen Studios and Amazon online service to create a film adaptation of the novel "Villa White Horse". It's been just a month and a half, and the TV adaptation of Detective Queen's bestselling novel has already gathered the cast and gone into production.

Christie's novel was released in 1961 and has earned praise for its attempt to combine classic crime story with mystical themes. The book tells about the adventures of the historian Mark Easterbrook, involved in the investigation of mysterious murders. The search for the culprit leads the scientist to the White Horse Villa in the village of Mach Deeping. At first glance, it seems that local witches are to blame for the mysterious deaths, but Easterbrook refuses to believe in the existence of supernatural forces ...

The image of Mark will be embodied by the star of the dystopia "The Man in the High Castle" Rufus Sewell. The historian's lady will be played by Kaya Scodelario ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"). Bertie Carvel (Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell), Sean Pertwee (Gotham), Madeleine Bowyer (Black Mirror), Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve), Georgina Campbell ( Krypton ") and other talented actors.
