Thus, the domestic director Timur Bekmambetov ("Profile") on the basis of his studio "Bazelevs" launched a new project about the pandemic. On a competitive basis, the head of the studio will select ideas for short films that will tell about the life of people in self-isolation. Anyone can take part in the competition along with the professionals. The movie almanac titled "Quarantine Stories" will be released in the screenlife format, which Bekmambetov loves so much.“About half of the world's population are now at home in self-isolation. Our competition is an opportunity to make films not only for industry professionals who have found themselves out of work, but also for ordinary people who now spend all their time using gadgets. This is such a global folk epic about the unique time in which we find ourselves, and screenlife is the only way to tell about it, ”said the director. The project is designed for the duration of the quarantine. It is assumed that the almanac will include stories from different parts of the world. The date of the premiere has not yet been announced. Earlier, Andrei Konchalovsky also turned his attention to the topic of coronavirus, inviting viewers to answer a few questions and record their answers on a video, from which a documentary will then be made.
