Timur Bekmambetov continues to conquer Hollywood
It's no secret that people sometimes spend more time with computers and smartphones than with their family and friends. Timur Bekmambetov, together with one of the largest film companies in the world, Universal Pictures, understands this perfectly. During the first USA online content market, Key Buyers Event: Digital Edition, it became known that a Hollywood studio had signed a contract with a USA director to produce five films at once in Bekmambetov's favorite screenlife format, when the movie takes place on gadget screens.Diology director Dozorov is one of the main popularizers of the screenlife format. Back in 2015, Bekmambetov produced the horror film Remove from Friends, which pioneered the genre and grossed $ 65 million worldwide. Desktop horror was one of the twenty most profitable films in the history of American cinema.  Bekmambetov's next project, Poisk, was also a commercial success, and the detective thriller Profile, directed by Timur Nuruakhitovich himself, won the Audience Award at the Berlinale in 2018. “Through the deal with Universal, we want to prove that screenlife is a versatile format that works in a variety of genres. These five films will include romantic comedies, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and detective stories such as Search. They will be very relevant for an audience that understands this language, because this is how we live ”, - comments the producer.
