Victim to Assassin
In The Invisible Man, the heroine Elisabeth Moss had to face violence from a loved one, but in her new project she herself will turn into a killer. Moss will star in a true-to-life TV series called Candy.In the new drama, the actress will play Texas resident Candy Montgomery. In 1980, she had everything one could dream of - a loving husband in a good position, a daughter and a son, a sweet home in the suburbs. However, behind such a beautiful facade, a truly Shakespearean tragedy was played out: Candy cheated on her husband with her husband Betty Gore, her acquaintance from the church. Upon learning of the affair, Betty made a scandal that ended with Candy killing her friend with an ax. The script for the project was written by Robin Veit, who was nominated for three Emmy awards for Mad Men. She will be one of the executive producers of the show alongside her co-star in the drama "Pretense" Nick Antoska. “I have long wanted to try on the image of an anti-heroine and have looked even longer for the opportunity to work with Robin again. When she asked if I wanted to play a Texas housewife who allegedly escaped punishment for murder, I said, “Where do I sign?”, ”Moss admitted.  The series is being developed by Universal Content Productions, and in the near future it plans to present the project to potential buyers - streaming services and cable channels.
