Bodyguard for State
Oddly enough, Kevin Hart and Jason Statham have never played together in the same film, except for Hart's cameo in Hobbs and Shaw. Sony was the first studio to come up with the idea of mixing a comedy star and an action star. Hart and State are in talks to get the lead roles in the action comedy The Man from Toronto.The title of the film is the nickname for one of the most ruthless mercenaries in the world, and Teddy is a simple loser from New York. One day they collide thanks to Airbnb, and this is where the fun begins. The heroes must unite to save the world, but the main thing is not to kill each other in the process. The mercenary is probably planning to play State, but Hart will try on the image of his occasional partner. The filming of the action will be directed by Patrick Hughes, who has already brought together two dissimilar partners in "Hitman's Bodyguard", and the director is familiar with Statem thanks to "The Expendables 3". The script for the tape was written by Robbie Fox ("The Man Sought Likely"), guided by the idea of Jason Blumenthal ("Biodome").  Sony bosses are hoping that the new project will repeat the success and capture the mood of the films "Spy and a Half" and "Hobbs and Show".
