Woody Harrelson Replaces Jason Statham in Action Comedy

Woody Harrelson will fly to Toronto instead of Jason Statham. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrelson got a role in the comedy action movie "The Man from Toronto", which is movieed by Sony Pictures, and will join Kevin Hart, previously approved for the second leading role.

Before Harrelson, Hart was supposed to draw up Statham, negotiations with which ended in nothing at the beginning of March this year. According to the publication, the actor insisted on an R rating for the future movie, however, the studio's management intends to make a movie with a less stringent rating to reach a larger viewer audience.

Harrelson, on which the studio chose, has already collaborated with Sony starring in the "Welcome to Zombieland" dilogy and the upcoming sequel to "Venom 2."

Patrick Hughes, who has experience in a similar genre, was appointed director of the picture. In 2017, he directed the action-comedy hitman's Bodyguard, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds. In July 2020, the continuation of the – "The bodyguard of the hitman's wife."
