Marvel is looking for a two-faced supervillain
The Marvel Cinematic Universe can be joined by a brilliant actor who has played perhaps the brightest TV villain of the last decade. Rumor has it that Kevin Feige's studio is in talks with Emmy nominee Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul).The actor has earned two nominations for the world's premier television award for his portrayal of the two-faced businessman Gustavo Fring, who created the largest drug distribution network in the southwestern United States. It looks like Marvel is offering Giancarlo a similar role. Casting experts use the nickname Benefactor for the villain. Judging by the code name, the antagonist will hide under the guise of a respectable citizen and generous philanthropist. Rumor has it that the nickname Benefactor is a mysterious businessman mentioned by Walton Goggins' character in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Moreover, there is a version that the mysterious villain will turn out to be Norman Osborn.  The Green Goblin rights situation looks confusing. It is highly likely that the antagonist is currently owned by Sony. Last month, we reported that the Marvelists could lose their rights to Peter Parker if the blockbuster Spider-Man: Far From Home grossed less than $ 1 billion worldwide. Since then, the film comic strip has successfully made its way into the club of billionaire films. Marvel has fulfilled its contractual obligations to a partner, which means Feige may well ask Sony for something in return. Esposito has become the third actor to be wooed for the role of the head of Oscorp. At first it was reported that David Morrissey could become Norman, and then in Hollywood they started talking about Marvel's interest in Matthew McConaughey. Either all three actors are really fighting for the same role, or insiders are wrong in their predictions and we are talking about three different characters.
