Is Marvel Gathering The Dark Avengers?

Image The day before yesterday, Marvel posted a schedule of new film and telecomics for the next two years. It seemed that the studio simply did not look beyond 2021, but a little later Kevin Feige made it clear that the ten projects presented at Comic-Con are the whole of Phase 4. Blade, Black Panther 2, Guardians Galaxies 3 and other films that Feige did not have time to talk about in San Diego, will make up the Fifth phase. Today, a curious rumor has surfaced on the Web about how the 2020 and 2021 films and series will lay the foundation for the next phase of the MCU.

Marvel fans shouldn't be upset that Phase 4 will only last two years and, for the first time, do without an Avengers movie. The studio clearly needs a little respite after the creation of two large-scale cabins at once - "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame".

Before gathering to fight the new supervillain, the Earth Guardians will take part in a couple of local conflicts. This does not mean that Marvel has postponed the search for a successor to Thanos until better times. Rumors surfaced earlier this month that the studio was in talks with Matthew McConaughey. It is possible that we are talking about the role of Norman Osborn, who is tipped the title of the main antagonist of the fifth phase.

The new theory claims that Osborn will arrive on the screens not alone, but in the company of a supervillain team. In the original Marvel comics, the US government disbanded the Avengers and instructed Norman to assemble a new collective of planetary defenders - the Dark Avengers. Osborn donned the Iron Patriot costume and summoned many villains to his banner. Using this storyline gives Marvel rich possibilities. The studio can show how antagonists hide under the guise of famous superheroes and try to do good deeds. The creators of the cinematic universe also do not prevent from making the Dark Avengers one hundred percent villains.

Rumor has it that hints of the Dark Avengers will appear in the very first Phase IV movie. The action movie "Black Widow" will present the spy Elena Belova, played by Florence Pugh. The young British actress is rightfully considered a rising star in world cinema. It is logical to assume that Marvel worked for the future and offered Florence a contract for several films. It is quite possible that over time her heroine will go over to the side of the forces of evil and turn into the antipode of Natasha Romanoff.

During "Comic-Con" it also became known that Alexey Shostakov, nicknamed the Red Guardian, would play an important role in the plot of "Black Widow". In the comic book world, David Harbor's hero is considered the Soviet counterpart of Captain America, making him an excellent candidate to join the Osborn team. Do not forget about the main antagonist of the film: Taskmaster can read the muscle memory of rivals, and therefore Marvel may well turn him into a super villainous copy of Hawkeye or some other Avenger.

Marvel officials have so far refrained from comment.
