From the creators of the DCU, one of the greatest supervillains in comic book history, Darkseid, is thrown into battle.At one time, Zack Snyder saw the space tyrant as the main antagonist of the Justice League. After the film comics "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" ran into a barrage of criticism, the director had to urgently change plans. As a result, the lieutenant of Darkseid's army, Steppenwolf, spoke up against DC superheroes. The ruler of Apokolips himself should have limited himself to a modest cameo, but the scene with his participation came under the knife when the film passed into the hands of Joss Whedon. Several years ago, IGN ranked Darkseid as the sixth best antagonist in the comic book world. From the WB side, of course, it would be foolish to give up such a colorful character. Today it became known that the villain will play a key role in the plot of the film "New Gods".  Ava DuVernay's tape tells about an alien race that once lived on a single planet. Thousands of years ago, the celestial body was divided into two parts. One of them turned into a blooming New Genesis, and the second - into a gloomy Apokolips ... During her traditional communication with fans on social networks, DuVernay announced that along with Darkseid, his personal guard, the warriors of the Furia, would arrive.  Ava's words make it clear that the studio has already agreed on a preliminary plot for the film. The production dates for New Gods are still kept secret.
