It is argued that the structure of the picture originally proposed by Zack Snyder was largely reminiscent of the story of the Silver Surfer. That is, the main antagonist of the Justice League, Steppenwulf, had to prepare a springboard for the invasion of his master - Darkseid. The arrival of the latter was supposed to complete the movie, and the second part would be entirely devoted to the fight of the League participants with their main enemy.
