Popular Hollywood actor Michael Rooker has denied information about his participation in the adaptation of DC comics, tentatively titled "Suicide Squad 2". On his official page on the social network Instagram, he posted a screenshot of an article that announced his new role, and commented very succinctly: "Yes, no."

Later, Rucker wrote that he "did not apply for the role in this movie". We will remind that earlier the edition of The Wrap, reported with reference to its sources, that Rucker was offered the role of the villain - the King of Sharks.

Suicide Squad 2, directed by James Gunn, is set to premiere in 2021. At the time of publication of this note, nothing was known about the plot. It was assumed that the picture will not become a direct continuation of the first part, rather, a kind of "soft restart". Some of the characters from the first movie will not return for the sequel, such as Deadshot, played by Will Smith. The full list of heroes, as performers of key roles, has not yet been announced.

Filming for "Suicide Squad 2" should start in the fall of 2019.
