The Addams family has not been on the big screens for over twenty years, but in the fall, strange, albeit very funny, representatives of the Gothic family will visit cinemas. It is noteworthy that for the first time in the history of their existence, the Addams will become cartoons in the cinema - all previous full-length films about them were shot in a game format.In the animation, which is a reboot of the franchise, the Addams move to a refined and sugary, in their own opinion, suburb of New Jersey. This is where the problems begin: the locals are alien to the strangeness of the new arrivals, and therefore the Addams have only two options - to adapt or with things to go. But they just want to be themselves. But how do you convince conservative neighbors that oddities only make them special and in no way harm others? Moreover, the nosy reporter decides to start a riot against the new tenants. The cartoon's path to the big screens began back in 2013, when MGM acquired the rights to film the famous comics by Charles Addams. And only a few years later, the major found directors for the project - they were Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, who had a hand in The Complete Rumble. There is no vulgar humor with an 18+ rating in The Addams Family, and the cartoon itself is more focused on children, but the satirical view of the American way of life remains.
