Film adaptation of Just Cause has found a director
The adaptation of the video game Just Cause has been in development for a long time, but it looks like this time the project is closer than ever to getting to the theaters. The film has acquired a director: the filming will be headed by Michael Daus.The first game in the Just Cause series was released in 2006 and has since received three sequels. The main character of the cycle is a soldier named Rico Rodriguez, who is usually sent to enemy territory to destroy their fortifications, all in order to save the world. When the project was directed by Brad Peyton, Jason Momoa was expected to play the lead role. Now Constantin Films will have to look for another candidate, and at the same time a girlfriend for him to mate, because this time the producers want not only explosive action, but also a storyline in the spirit of the movie "Romance with a Stone.  Michael Daws became famous for the comedy "The Bouncer", which was followed by "Friendship and No Sex?" and "Ali, rudders!" Talking about television, Daus filmed episodes of "Man of the Future" and "Shepherd" there. As you can see, the director does not have a lot of experience in the field of action-packed blockbusters, but it is worth believing that Derek Kolstad's script will help him get used to the new territory.
