Moriarty and Kojima invite guests to Comic Con USA
Our regular readers will have noticed that every year we try to cover in detail the main event in the geek community - the festival of fiction, video games and TV series Comic Con. In recent years, truly high-quality conventions can be observed not only in the homeland of Comic-Con, in San Diego, but also closer to us, in Moscow. The domestic organizers of the first USA rally tried to keep the quality level set by their Western colleagues, but this time they surpassed themselves. In just a couple of weeks, all pop culture fans will have an eventful four days with entertaining exhibitions, colorful and complex stands, a large-scale cosplay competition, a rich alley of authors and the most long-awaited guests.The latter are worth mentioning separately: stars of the first magnitude, regular participants in international film festivals and favorites of the public will arrive at Comic Con USA 2019 from October 3 to 6. The first to announce his participation in the convention was Mads Mikkelsen, who seems to have grown fond of going to USA - in January the popular actor presented the film "Lost in the Ice" in Moscow. Mads will be glad to see not only fans of the psychological detective "Hannibal" and the Marvel Universe and "Star Wars", but also viewers who prefer the author's, more thoughtful cinema. Recall that Mikkelsen is one of the favorite actors of Nicholas Winding Refn (he played in "The Dealer" and "Valhalla." And for his role in the drama "The Hunt" by Thomas Winterberg, the Dane was awarded the Cannes Film Festival award as best actor.  The second guest of the upcoming "Comic-Con" was also Andrew Scott, who does not need a long introduction. The beautiful Irish actor, although he did not play the main role in the TV hit "Sherlock", was able to gather an army of fans who were delighted with his interpretation of the image of the villain Moriarty. Recently, the popularity of the actor has only been growing: after all, with each project, Scott is revealed more and more brightly. That only is his role in the witty and subtle dramedy Phoebe Waller-Bridge "Trash". In early November, Andrew will appear in the film adaptation of Philip Pullman's Dark Principles. Perhaps he will tell more about the series at the Moscow "Kon". Also, all interested and lucky guests of "Comic-Con" can get autographs of the stars and take pictures with them. In addition, the actors will perform on the main stage and talk about their creative plans and impressions of their visit to our country. For those who prefer to kill their evenings playing video games, rather than watching TV series, the organizers of "Comic-Con" and "Igromir", which takes place on the same dates, also tried. Just one day at the event will be held by the legendary game designer and hero of a thousand memes - Hideo Kojima. The developer, together with Mads Mikkelsen, will present his new game Death Stranding. For her characters, Mads and Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead donated not only their voices, but also their appearance. Fans are waiting for the release of the game no less than the acclaimed "Joker", which means that you can't miss Kojima the genius at Comic Con.  In addition, the festival visitors will see the presentation of the full-length film Major Thunder: The Plague Doctor, based on the comics published by Bubble, a meeting with the author of fantasy novels Nick Perumov, a performance by the cartoonist Ted Stones, who created our beloved Gummy bears and the Black Cloak, as well as a screening of the sequel “ Zombieland ". The sequel "Zombieland: Control Shot" will be shown at Comic Con USA 2019 three weeks before the official premiere on the screens of our country.
