Ten Little Indians received a new invitation

Image The novel And There Was No One, known in the USA translation as Ten Little Indians, is one of the most popular and best-selling works of Agatha Christie. The rights to it were bought by 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox) back in 2015, and after the sale of the studio, the project came under the wing of Disney, and the bosses of the House of Mouse decided, apparently, to blow the dust off it.

It is reported that Anna Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel, who worked together on the dramas "The Dangerous Role of Jean Seberg" and "Aftermath", were selected as the scriptwriters of the detective. The duo also has experience in adapting classics: a new screen version of Rebecca, based on a script by Waterhouse and Shrapnel, is due out on Netflix this year.

Christie's novel revolves around ten strangers invited to a secluded island. Soon the guests begin to die one by one, which means the killer is among them. According to available information, the events of the film will take place in the period before World War II, as in the original work, but the authors of the film adaptation will delight moviegoers with a fresh look at a familiar story. Also, the project has nothing to do with paintings about Hercule Poirot starring Kenneth Branagh.
