Fox has acquired the movie rights to Agatha Christie's famous Ten Little Indians. The director of the project is Morten Tildum, the creator of The Imitation Game. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Recall that the detective novel was published in 1939 and translated into many languages. It became the best-selling work of the writer: more than 100 million copies have been sold since its premiere. Agatha Christie herself considered "Ten Little Indians" her best work. It should be noted that later, for reasons of political correctness, the name was changed to "And there was nobody."

The action takes place on an isolated island, where 10 people gather at the invitation of the mysterious Mr. and Mrs. Onim. All of them begin to die one by one at the hands of an unknown killer. The novel has gone through countless adaptations, including in the Soviet Union. Released in 1987, Stanislav Govorukhin's movie was the only one that retained the original title of the work.

The timing of work on a new adaptation at the time of this writing has not been specified. Also, the leading actors were not named. Most likely. Tildum will start working on the painting after the completion of the fantastic movie "Passengers".
