With a song through life
Steven Spielberg's company will revive the 2018 National School Choir Tournament of America. Amblin Partners acquired the rights to create a film about teachers and students at New York's Uniondale School.The main character of the story will be the music teacher Lynette Carr-Hicks. In 2010, she transformed the traditional school choir Uniondale into the Rhythm of the Knight show group. Lynette paid for costumes and props out of her own pocket, as many of the students came from poor and disadvantaged families. Rhythm of the Knight took eight years to become the best amateur show choir in the United States. Two years ago, Karr-Hicks students made it to the finals of the All-American School Tournament and won the long-awaited Grand Prix.
