A galaxy far, far away needs new heroines
Last fall, we reported that Disney had signed with MCU curator Kevin Feige. The first rumors about his top-secret Star Wars-based project appeared on the Web today.Insiders claim that Disney and Feige will send Mara Jade to the movie screens. Fans of the space saga met the red-haired beauty in 1991 in Timothy Zahn's novel Heir to the Empire. Mara began a journey across a galaxy far, far away as a companion of Palpatine, but soon fell in love with Luke Skywalker and switched to the bright side of the Force. In 2010, IGN ranked Jade at the 19 th spot on the list of the 100 Greatest Characters in Star Wars. Mara became Luke's wife and gave birth to Ben Skywalker, however Disney did not recognize this storyline as canon. In this regard, it can be assumed that the authors of the movie saga will rewrite Jade's book biography. Rumor has it that the studio's casting list is headed by Brie Larson, who knows Feige from working on Marvel films.  Disney officials declined to comment.
