More recently, it seemed that Sony was engaged in a futile task, trying to build the Spider-Man universe without Peter Parker. That all changed when the company's management terminated the contract with Marvel and received the rights to use the character Tom Holland. Sony employees cheered up and came up with an idea for a new blockbuster. Hollywood insiders claim that the creators of the young cinematic universe are developing a picture about Madame Web.The heroine of the future film made her debut on the pages of comics in 1980. The famous Marvel author Denny O'Neill has come up with a non-trivial backstory for Madame Web. Spider-Man's ally was an elderly lady named Cassandra Webb, who suffered from a severe autoimmune disease and was chained to a unique life support system that resembled a spider web. The superheroine compensated for the blindness and paralysis through brilliant intelligence, clairvoyance and telepathy. Naturally, Cassandra could not personally fight the villains. In this regard, it can be assumed that Sony will use another Madame Web in the film. In 2010, Webb was succeeded by Julia Carpenter, who by that time was already known to Marvel fans as Spider-Woman.  The film will be written by Matt Sazama and Burke Sharpless.
