The box office success and critical acclaim for the comedy Crazy Rich Asians proved that audiences would like to see East Asian actors more often in the lead roles. Streaming giant Amazon listened to the voice of the people and bought the rights to an as yet unnamed film about a gang of Asians and Americans.The idea for the film belongs to actors Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Police) and Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp). The picture tells about childhood friends who turned out an incredible scam. “The film will evoke pleasant associations with Ocean's Eleven, Men's Striptease and `` Better luck tomorrow ''", Daniel Dae Kim intrigued the audience. Yoon Il Kim (Billions) will further develop the script. As for the authors of the original idea, they will act as producers and performers of the main roles.  Several film studios and online services took part in the fight for the rights to the picture. Obviously Amazon made the most generous offer to the authors.
