There are never too many superhero TV shows

Image Marvel is already preparing a number of TV series, the main characters of which will be characters from the studio's cinematic universe. At the same time, the company's management sees the Disney + streaming platform as an ideal springboard for popularizing other lesser-known comic book characters who may migrate to the big screens in subsequent Phases of the universe. Several more such television projects were announced at the D23 exhibition.

Miss Marvel, who debuted on the pages of comics back in 1976, will have her own series. This name once hid Carol Danvers, who is now conquering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for the Disney + show, the Muslim woman Kamala Khan will be at the center of its events. Graphic novels about her even earned the prestigious Hugo Prize. The main superpower of Miss Marvel is her ability to deform her own body to any size. It is noteworthy that Ms. Marvel has appeared on the small screens more than once - her television debut came in the animated series The Avengers, and several years ago there were rumors that the show about Kamala was being prepared by ABC. Bisha K. Ali ("Sex Education") has been selected as the scriptwriter of the new project.

Also, representatives of Disney and Marvel announced that She-Hulk and Moon Knight will receive solo shows. The green man has long been a favorite of the public and an integral part of the Marvel universe, and now his cousin Jennifer Walters, known as She-Hulk, will try to win the hearts of viewers. Jennifer possesses the same abilities as her cousin - superhuman strength, speed and endurance, increasing to incredible sizes in moments of fear and anger, and she acquired these abilities after she received Bruce's blood transfusion. She-Hulk has appeared many times in animated series based on Marvel comics, and in the 90s they even wanted to make a full-length film about her with Bridget Nielsen in the title role, but work on it was suspended.

Finally, the third contender for the solo show, Moon Knight, came from the dark side of Marvel comics. Kevin Feige described the series about him as an action-adventure about a mercenary left to die in the desert. In the comics, Mark Spector, known as the Moon Knight, is a mentally unstable mercenary who turns into a superhero with dissociative personality disorder, and he gains his superpowers with the appearance of the moon in the sky. Marvel bosses once thought of including Moon Knight in the Netlfix Defenders universe, but this never happened.
