Doctor Strange Director meets the Goblin King
Over the years, the movie "Labyrinth" has not lost its magic. It spawned the emergence of books, comics, video games, and the TriStar studio since 2014 has been trying to realize either a sequel, or a remake of the cult tape with David Bowie. After the death of the legendary musician in Hollywood with a vengeance began to work on the new "Labyrinth". The project even got a director in the person of Federico Alvarez, but there was no more information about him. Now another film maker will go to the labyrinth of the Goblin King - director of "Doctor Strange" Scott Derrickson.Derrickson, like Alvarez, made a name for himself in Hollywood with horror movies. On his account there are such horror films as "Six Demons Emily Rose", "Sinister", "Deliver us from the evil one." Subsequently, Marvel invited the director to their universe, and he quite successfully brought to life Doctor Strange, one of the most unusual Marvel heroes, on the big screens. Derrickson planned to lead the filming of the sequel, but did not agree with the studio. In all likelihood, TriStar executives considered the filmmaker an ideal candidate to guide the new Labyrinth. Judging by the latest information, TriStar is preparing a sequel to the original film, but little is known about its plot. Maggie Levine (Into Darkness) is currently writing the script.  It is not yet known whether Jennifer Connelly will return in the sequel. In "Labyrinth", we recall, she played a girl who wished that her obnoxious younger brother was taken by goblins, which eventually happened. To save her brother, Sarah had to go to an enchanted labyrinth full of monsters and traps. Since Labyrinth was released back in 1986, Connelly's appearance in the highly anticipated sequel would be the logical link between the two installments.
