Horror is back on TV

Image In the 90s, when R.L. Stein's "Horror" was at the peak of popularity, it was adapted for small screens. The series "Goosebumps" showed high ratings, thanks to which it lasted four seasons. During this time, the show team managed to film more than 40 of Stein's works. Now it's time for modern producers to tackle the horror monsters.

Scholastic Entertainment, Sony Pictures TV and producer Neil H. Moritz will direct yet another live action series based on Stein's books. Of course, the 90s version has its loyal fans, but television has since made a big step forward, so "Horror" deserved a larger and more expensive film adaptation. Since Sony does not have its own streaming platform, the new series can find shelter on one of the existing online services, which means additional financial support, and sometimes no strict age restrictions on content.

“I enjoyed working on the Horror franchise movies and I'm looking forward to bringing RL's incredible stories to life. Stein in a series that will appeal to both adults and children ", - said producer Neil H. Moritz. The "Horror" dilogy turned out to be a successful investment for the Sony studio: the tapes grossed more than $ 250 million for two.
