Epees to battle
Lionsgate will talk about one of the most elegant and romantic sports. The television department of the California-based company has acquired the rights to an as-yet-unnamed fencing comedy by Greta Gerwig.Several years ago, Vanity Fair released a series of videos highlighting the hidden talents of Hollywood actors, directors and screenwriters. Gerwig has shown that she has a good command of the sword. The positive reaction to the video prompted Greta to write a script about the varsity fencing team, which was considered the underdog of the season, but began to defeat the favorites. Since then, Gerwig has directed Lady Bird and Little Women, which have made her one of the most fashionable and sought-after figures in Hollywood. Greta realized that she would not be able to squeeze comedy into the shooting schedule and sold the script to Lionsgate. The latter converts the story into serial format.  Insiders find it difficult to say whether Gerwig will participate in the development of the TV project or her name will be indicated in the credits only as the creator of the original idea.
