CBS divested of plans to direct spin-off of How I Met Your Mother - " How I Met Your Dad ". According to ComingSoon, the spin-off pilot starring Greta Gerwig (Sweet Frances) and Meg Ryan as the narrator is up for sale and may find a new home on some other channel. The comedy will focus on Sally (Gerwig) and her circle of friends. Ryan will voice the future Sally. The script is written by Emily Spivey, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They are also executive producers of the project. The original comedy How I Met Your Mother recently concluded its ninth final season.
