NBC has ordered production of Blacklist spin-off
NBC has commissioned the production of a spin-off of the Blacklist drama called "The Blacklist: Redemption". Thus, the channel has six new drama series in the 2016-2017 season. The spin-off will star Famke Janssen and Ryan Yggold as Tom Keane in the original show. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The upcoming series, produced by Sony Pictures Television and Davis Entertainment, is written and executive produced by Blacklisted John Bockenkamp and John Eisendrath, as well as John Davis and John Fox. The pilot episode starring Edi Gathegi and Tony Cypress was directed by Michael Dinner. Most likely, The spin-off will air on NBC this offseason. Undercover operative Tom Keane (Yggold) teams up with Susan "Scotty" Hargrave (Janssen), the smart and astute head of "Gray Matters" , a secret mercenary organization that tackles issues that governments dare not touch.
