Kate McKinnon will go to war with the cunning cat lover
Emmy Award-winning Kate McKinnon, best known to moviegoers for comedies such as New Years Corporate Party and Instigators, landed a role in the TV series Joe Exotic. The project will be based on the popular podcast, and will be taken care of by the studio UCP, which had a hand in "Return", too, recall, based on the podcast. Kate will also serve as the executive producer of the new show.The plot revolves around a cat-obsessed woman named Carol Baskin. One day she learns that another cat lover, Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel, is engaged in unscrupulous breeding of certain breeds for profit. Carol decides to stop her rival, and gets involved with him in a war, in which both sides use not the most honest means. In addition, the active cat lady has her skeletons in the closet, and Joe Exotic will not fail to pull them out into the white light. Ultimately, this confrontation will take a tragic turn. McKinnon recently appeared on the big screen in Danny Boyle's new film Yesterday, and this winter she can be seen with Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron in Jay Roach's Scandal.
