The Way of the Samurai Rabbit
Netflix will introduce viewers to the work of famed comic book author Stan Sakai. In the camp of the streaming platform, an animated series is maturing based on the graphic novel "The Bodyguard Rabbit" (Usagi Yojimbo).The original comic has been published since 1984. The main action takes place in the Edo era. The protagonist of the story is the noble rabbit Miyamoto Usagi, who vowed to protect the poor and oppressed people of Japan. The prototype of the anthropomorphic warrior was the ronin Miyamoto Musashi. Sakai was also inspired by Akira Kurosawa and classic Japanese folklore. Netflix will bring history to the present day. In the center of the plot of the animated series "Samurai Rabbit" will be a descendant of Miyamoto Usagi, who went on an epic journey to become a true samurai.
