Beavis and Butt-Head back in action

Image Comedy Central made a luxurious gift for the 90s generation. The management of the comedy television network bought the rights to create an animated series about the adventures of Beavis and Butt-Head from sister channel MTV.

The debut of iconic characters took place in 1992 in the short film "Baseball Frog". The audience loved the teens so much that MTV approached the cartoon's author, Mike Judge, with the idea of creating an animated series. Sexually anxious schoolchildren were the main face of the channel from 1993 to 1997. During this time, Judge has released seven seasons of the series and the feature film "Beavis and Butt-Head Are Making America.

In 2011, MTV tried to resurrect the franchise, but the idea turned out to be a failure. The first episode of the eighth season attracted 3.3 million viewers, and the last - 919 thousand. The rapid drop in ratings led to the second closure of the series.
