Beavis and Butt-Head will do America again

Image Renowned screenwriter and animator Mike Judge will bring new life to his most famous characters - Beavis and Butt-Head. The creator of the cartoon heroes admitted that Paramount is interested in filming the second feature film about the idols of the Pepsi generation.

Troubled Teens made their screen debut in 1992 in the short film Frog Baseball. The bosses of the MTV channel liked the cartoon so much that they suggested that Judge develop the concept of a full-fledged series. "Beavis and Butt-Head" premiered in March 1993.

A couple of years later, Mike started thinking about making a feature film. Beavis and Butt-Head Are Making America premiered in 1996 and grossed Paramount over $ 63 million in North American box office alone.

At the end of 1997, MTV announced the closure of the series. After 14 years, Jaju returned the cartoon to the ranks, but the eighth season of the revived show received mixed reviews in the press. Perhaps viewers and critics were embarrassed that the teenagers began to comment on all kinds of reality shows, and not the usual video clips.

In 2012, TV Guide named Beavis and Butt-Head as one of the 60 Greatest Animated Shows in Television History. The franchise continues to have a solid fan base and box office potential, which is why Paramount decided to consider creating a new feature.

"The film needs to be relevant and topical," Judge said. "I already have a couple of great ideas."
