Collider announces that Cate Blanchett will star in the biopic of famous actress Lucille Ball, and Aaron Sorkin will write the script for the future drama.|
Blanchett has won two Oscars : the first for her role as Katharine Hepburn in Aviator, and the second for her performance in the drama Jasmine. Sorkin , in turn, was awarded the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Prize for the script for the biopic Social Network.
Lucille Ball is considered an icon of the comedy genre in Hollywood, and in her homeland she was dubbed the Queen of Comedy . The actress has been nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards 13 times and has won four awards.
