20th Century Fox has acquired the film rights to Libby Malin Fire Me , reports The Tracking Board . The romantic comedy will be produced by Ben Stiller and Stuart Kornfeld's Red Hour company.The main character of the film is an office worker Anne Wyatt , who is tired of the constant stress at work. One day, her boss announces to subordinates that he plans to lay off one employee and is forced to pay him a generous severance pay. Ann decides to use this opportunity to finally change her life and use the money to start her own business. The main character has only a day to ask for dismissal, but unexpectedly she meets competition in the person of a handsome graphic designer from the neighboring cubicle, who has also long dreamed of getting rid of corporate oppression ... The novel will be adapted for the big screen by Josh Segal and Dylan Morgan (Studio 30 / 30 Rock ), and Tim Kirkby (Grace and Frankie Grace and Frankie). Insiders have not yet announced whether Stiller is planning to play one of the roles in the film.
