Martin Sheen has joined the cast of the Netflix comedy video service Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Sheen will play Robert, husband of Grace (Fonda).
In the center of the plot of the comedy – two bitter rivals – Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), whose lives are turned upside down after their husbands tell them they love each other and are planning to get married. Both women find, to their horror and surprise, that because their lives are so closely intertwined, they have much in common.
A thirteen-part comedy written and directed by Martha Kauffman (Friends) and Howard J. Morris (`` Like Jim Said '') debuts in 2015. Tate Taylor (The Servant) has been set to direct the first episode.
Martin Sheen, who recently starred in FX comedy Anger Management together with his son Charlie Sheen, is a multiple Golden Globe nominee and laureate for his role as President Jed Bartlett in The West Wing.
