Bond Film Director Will Make Jackie Chan Avenger
Martin Campbell has been invited to lead the adaptation of Stephen Leeser's novel Chinese , reports Deadline .Campbell showed interest in the project for a long time, but was forced to abandon work on adapting the bestseller for the thriller "Hunter-Assassin" by Relativity . Last month, STX Entertainment tried to find Martina a replacement with Nick Cassavetes, but negotiations with the latter were unsuccessful. Currently, Relativity is facing financial problems, which has allowed Campbell to return to the film adaptation of " Chinese ". The director's track record includes two James Bond films - Golden Eye and Casino Royale.  Despite the failure of negotiations with Cassavetes , the STX bosses managed to close a deal with Jackie Chan . The star of the world cinema will appear on the screen as the owner of a restaurant in Chinatown, who decides to take revenge on the terrorists responsible for the death of his daughter.
