Marvel will send a couple in love on TV
The television universe Marvel is ready to replenish with a new series. As reported by Variety , the superheroes Cloak and Dagger will be guests of the small screen.The television network ABC considered the possibility of filming the comics Cloak and Dagger back in 2010, but then the project could not get off the ground. This time the series will be handled by ABC - Freeform , a subsidiary channel of which has rushed to order the production of the full first season, bypassing the traditional scheme with preliminary filming of the pilot episode. The first appearance of the superhero duo on the pages of Marvel comics took place in 1982. The nickname Cloak hid the 17-year-old Tyrone Johnson , and the name Dagger was taken by the 16-year-old Tandy Bowen . In the original comics, teens acquired their powers when they were stuffed with synthetic drugs by the wily chemist Simon Marshall . Over the next three decades, the backstory of popular comic book characters changed several times. In one of the storylines, they received superpowers as a result of experiments of the company Roxxon , which appears in many films and TV series Marvel .  According to the preliminary synopsis, the fates of the main characters of the series will be closely intertwined after Tandy discovers the ability to release daggers of light, and Tyrone acquires the ability to envelop his enemies in darkness. When Cloak and Dagger begin to feel mutual sympathy, they will understand that they should always and everywhere stick together ... Currently, the heads of Marvel and Freeform are looking for a writer who could adapt the comics about the couple in love into a serial drama format. The creators of Marvel's Cloak and Dagger expect to target audiences between 18 and 34 years old.  Last month, the head of Marvel TV department Jeff Lobe announced that about ten projects based on the comics of the famous publisher are at various stages of creation.
