Yahoo! reporters share rumors that Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) is considered one of the contenders for the lead role in the blockbuster Captain Marvel ".Earlier this year, it became known that Angelina Jolie could take the director's chair for the film. The bosses of the Marvel studio are reportedly continuing negotiations with her at the moment. Moreover, insiders insist that Jolie will agree to lead the project in the event that the main role in it is played by Theron , who is one of her best friends in real life. ... Studio officials have so far declined to comment. Previous candidates for the role of Carol Danvers included Jessica Chastain, Yvonne Strahovski, Katie Sackhoff, Catherine Winnick, Natalie Dormer and Emily Blunt.
