The ABC channel has decided to expand its line of series based on comics. The network began work on the adaptation of the graphic novel Unfollow published by Vertigo , reports The Hollywood Reporter . The series will be written by Michael Narducci and will also serve as Executive Producer. The drama will tell the story of the incident that occurs when a dying billionaire decides to distribute his entire fortune to 140 random people from all over the world. The rich man reports this on a social network. Soon one of the happy heirs dies, and the rest begin to realize that each of them has become either a suspect or the next victim. The comic, which went to print in November, was produced by Rob Williams and Michael Dowling. The graphic novel introduces many interesting characters - a young African American from St. Louis who left the service of a soldier, an Iranian reporter and a girl from a wealthy family in search of thrills. The authors of Unfollow themselves admit that in the process of creating a comic, they were inspired by the idea of how social networks influence modern life: people have their own followers, and the cult of personality and ghostly ambitions rule the ball. The new drama is being produced by Warner Bros. Television , with which Narducci already has experience of cooperation. He is the producer of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals . Previously, Michael also worked on the shows "Medium" ( Medium ) and "4400" ( The 4400 ). The Topic of Article: The Vampire Diaries Producer talks about the perniciousness of social media. |
