James Wan Finds New Agent MacGyver
The list of remakes and reboots that are the Hollywood mainstream today has been replenished with another project. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter , CBS has commissioned a pilot for a new version of MacGyver's Secret Agent ( MacGyver >).The idea for the remake belongs to James Wan ("Fast and Furious 7"), and R. Scott Gemmill ("Hawaii Police" / Hawaii Five-0 ) began working on the script. The series' executive producers included Wang and Gemmill , Michael Clear, and Henry Winkler, who worked in that capacity on the original show. James Wang is set to lead the production of a pilot episode for his television debut. By the way, in 2012 the filmmaker claimed to be the director's chair for a full-length remake of the series, but in the end the project sank into oblivion. The source says that the upcoming series will tell about 20-year-old MacGyver and the times when he was accepted into a secret organization. The main advantage of the hero is his ability to extricate himself from problems using unconventional methods, using ingenuity and improvised means.The original aired on ABC from 1985 to 1992.  Following the success of the seventh Fast and the Furious Wang has become one of the most sought-after filmmakers in Hollywood.
