Ron Howard helps Downey Jr. find Pinocchio

Image Oscar Award Winner Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) will lead the filming of a new Pinocchio project for Warner Bros. This is reported by the portal The Tracking Board . Howard will replace Paul Thomas Anderson, who previously wrote the film and claimed the director's chair.

Together with Brian Grazer, Dan Jinks, Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey, the newly minted director will be producing the film. Jane Goldman, Michael Mitnick and Brian Fuller managed to write her script, and the role of Dzepetto was given to Downey Jr. .

Based on a classic by Carlo Collodi, the film tells how Gepetto sets out to find the missing Pinocchio . The rest of the plot details are kept under wraps.

Feature-length film adaptations of Pinocchio are nothing new for Hollywood: in 2002, the film of the same name by Roberto Benigni was released, coldly received by critics and viewers. The creators of the new project want to repeat the success of "Alice in Wonderland", "Maleficent" and "Cinderella", in which the familiar fairy tales are presented in a new way.
