During his film career, Ryan Gosling managed to play different characters, and now, as reported by Deadline , Universal studio has offered the actor to try on a completely new role - Gosling was invited to play the main role in Neil Armstrong's biopic, called First Man .|
Damien Chazelle ("Obsession") will direct the upcoming film and the script is written by Josh Singer. The biographical drama follows the historic Apollo 11 flight that made Armstrong the first person to walk on the moon.
Negotiations with Gosling are still at an early stage, but if they are completed successfully, Armstrong's biopic will be for Ryan the second joint project with Chazelle. The actor and director recently completed work on the set of the musical La La Land.
By the way, Chazelle himself said in one of his interviews that the film about Armstrong will not be a traditional biopic. The drama aims to illuminate six years in the life of an astronaut, from joining NASA until his flight to the moon.
Already at the beginning of next year in USA cinemas will open the "Game for a fall", where Gosling can be seen in the image of a financier who managed to cash in on the global crisis. Also, the actor managed to sign up to take part in the filming of the Blade Runner sequel.
