American rapper and producer Pras Michel will tell the audience the amazing life story of a fraudster from Haiti who became one of the unsung heroes of World War II. As reported by Deadline , the two-time Grammy award winner has acquired the film rights to Dave Smith and Hugh Ray McCann " Finding Johnny Nicholas ".Jean Marcel Nicholas was born in Haiti in 1918. Before the outbreak of World War II, the swindler settled in Paris, where he managed to successfully win the hearts of women from high society, posing as an American fighter pilot or a famous film producer. During the occupation of France, one of his mistresses handed him over to the Gestapo, after which Nicholas was sent to the concentration camp Dora-Mittelbau . There, the Haitian managed to convince the Germans that he was an experienced doctor. Nicholas was tasked with monitoring the health of prisoners who were forced by the authorities Dora-Mittelbau to work on the production of long-range ballistic missiles "V-2" at the Mittelwerk plant. In the concentration camp, the swindler finally re-educated himself and made a lot of efforts to save the lives of other prisoners.  The adaptation of the book for the big screen will be done by Jean-Claude La Marr ("The Color of the Crucifixion"). The company of Prasu Michel as the producer of the biographical drama will be Karin Rakhtman. They have previously collaborated on the documentary Sweet Mickey for President, which won one of the awards at last year's Slamdens independent film festival.
