Natalie Portman could embark on a dangerous expedition
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Natalie Portman is in talks to star in the post-apocalyptic horror movie Annihilation .Filming will be directed by Alex Garland (Out of the Car), who himself adapted the novel of the same name by Jeff Vandermeer, which served as the basis for the film. Scott Rudin (Social Network) will be producing production. At the center of events is a biologist ( Portman ), who, along with three other women, sets off on a scientific expedition to Region X, an area that has long been cut off from civilization. Upon arrival, the heroine will face a mysterious infection, disappearance of colleagues, dangerous animals and a merciless creature nicknamed Snake .  Portman recently completed filming for the action movie Jane Takes the Gun. And soon at the Cannes Film Festival will be presented her first full-length directorial work, the drama "A Tale of Love and Darkness", in which Natalie also starred.
