Studio 8 tells the story of Pontius Pilate
Studio 8 has acquired from Warner Bros. the rights to the biblical drama Pontius Pilate , according to The Tracking Board .In early 2013, Brad Pitt announced his desire to play the Procurator of Judea, but even such a big name did not help WB start shooting the film. At the end of last year, the actor left the project, tired of waiting for progress in work. Ultimately, the directors of the Hollywood major made the decision to sell Pontius Pilate to another film company. The bosses of Studio 8 have already begun their search for a new performer for the title role, who would have the same star status as Pitt . It has not yet been announced whether they plan to rewrite the script by Vera Blasi ("The Woman Above"), which is centered on the trial of Pontius Pilate over Jesus Christ . Jeffrey Robins and Mark Johnson will be producing.  Biblical epics continue to regain their former popularity.
