Kormakur will descend from Everest to the social bottom
Balthazar Cormakur , the director of the drama Everest, which has successfully performed in our box office, has chosen the next project. The Hollywood Reporter managed to find out that the Icelandic filmmaker is taking on a psychological thriller called The Oath . Separately emphasized is the fact that Balthazar will also write the script for the film (co-authored with Olafur Eglisson), produce it and play one of the roles.The plot of the thriller will revolve around a caring father ( Kormakur ), who starts an almost impossible mission - to save his daughter, mired in drug addiction and crime. Balthazar was last seen on the big screen in the 2008 Icelandic action thriller Reykjavik-Rotterdam, which later received an English-language remake of Contraband, starring Mark Wahlberg.  With a production budget of $ 55 million dollars, Everest , which tells the story of a group of tourists who tried to conquer the highest peak of the planet, grossed more than $ 203 million in the world box office.
