72nd Venice Film Festival is over
72nd Venice Film Festival has completed its work in Italy, the head of the jury is Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuaron ("Gravity").The annual film festival opened on September 2 with the premiere of Balthazar Kormakur's Everest adventure film, and on the last day of the festival, Hu Guang's drama Mister Six was presented to the audience. Twenty-one films entered the battle for the main award of the famous European film festival this year. The " Golden Lion " award went to the drama "From There" by the debut Venezuelan director Lorenzo Vigas.  The Grand Prix at the Venice Film Festival went to the animated film "Anomalization" by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson. The Argentinean Pablo Trapero won the " Silver Lion " award for the best director, who presented the crime thriller "Clan" at the festival.  " Volpi Cup " for Best Actor went to Fabrice Luchini (Ermine), and the title of Best Actress went to Valeria Golino (For You). The Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor was awarded to Ebraham Etta, who played one of the main roles in the film Rootless Beasts.  The special jury prize went to the film Madness by the Turk Emin Elper, and the best script went to the French drama Ermine . Bertrand Tavernier, Brian de Palma and Jonathan Demme received prizes for their contributions to the development of cinema. Alexander Sokurov, Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp are the winners of the prestigious Mimmo Rotella Foundation award.
