Paramount Film Studio has abandoned the further development of the Transformers franchise. This is evidenced by the cancellation of the release date of the seventh movie in this series, which was scheduled to be presented to viewers in the summer of 2019.

As noted by the Deadline edition, the release of the picture, scheduled earlier on June 28, 2019, will not take place, and no new date the studio did not appoint. The reason for this decision by Paramount's management has not been specified.

It is worth noting that during the Toy Fair 2018, Hasbro, which owns the rights to the Transformers toy line, hinted that the cinematic franchise could be relaunched after release of the first spin-off dedicated to the Autobot Bumblebee. However, no official statements were made on this matter.

As for the movie "Bumblebee", it will be presented to the audience in December 2018. It is expected that the action will take place in the 80s of the last century. The movie stars Hayley Steinfeld, Pamela Adlon, John Cena, Kenneth Choi, Rachel Crowe, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Stephen Schneider, Abby Quinn, Ricardo Hoyos, Jason Drucker and other actors.

This will be the first project from the series "Transformers", which was not movieed by Michael Bay.
